Sustenance Design provided the landscape architectural work for the new Antinori Village at the illustrious Hambidge Center for the Arts in Rabun County, GA. Stormwater is highlighted at this location that receives up to 100 inches of rain annually. Ninety percent of the stormwater is celebrated above-ground, as opposed to being routed into invisible pipes. Water cascades off the roof scuppers and lands in catchment basins made with local granite, and delivered in hillside swales to infiltrate into the surrounding forest. Plantings reflect the native ecosystem of Southern Blueridge and provide some food for wildlife and people. The striking architecture was provided by BLDGS of Atlanta.
